Very early 1930s soft hats such as this one are quite rare, says our millinery go-to expert Barbara*. This unstructured cap is a rich coffee brown, with grosgrain ribbon flowers all around the crepe crown. Net lining and interior grosgrain band. From the fabulous Jamieson estate, spanning two centuries.
*See Barbara's fabulous hats at her web site, Rue de la Paix. She was featured in a six-page spread in the Jan/Feb 2014 issue of "Victoria Magazine."
