Sheath dress from the 1960s in golden taupe.

  • Lace illusion inset (backed with organza) at upper bodice and elbow-length sleeves.
  • Princess seams. Sheath/wiggle silhouette.
  • Back metal zipper.
  • Union made with care in the U.S.A.

The last photo shows a Nov. 25, 1965, ad for Renmor (and other) dresses. As you can see, they were not inexpensive!

Fiber/Care: unmarked, almost certainly rayon with a raw-silk texture, acetate lining, dry-clean

Condition: no flaws to note. the hem was let down to its full length at some point, and carefully (expertly, even) hand-stitched with rayon hem tape.
