Vintage black hat of braided, mixed faux straw in lacy and smooth textures, and faux sinamay. Braided design forms scalloped edge at brim. Taupe silk flowers around base of crown at front, with wide black petersham ribbon around back, ending in short tails. Interior petersham band. Union made in the U.S.A. From the late 1950s or early 1960s, with a definite "1910s mushroom hat" vibe.
