From the 1960s or very early 1970s, a flapper-style "scooter" dress in navy blue, red, and creamy white.

  • Bodice of slinky, vertically ribbed fabric has long sleeves with turned-back cuffs
  • Off-white crepe collar and cuffs trimmed in plaid.
  • Pleated red, white, and blue plaid skirt
  • Waist and hem tape, pinked seams, unlined, closes at back with a long zipper
  • Union made in the U.S.A.

Labels: Leslie Fay, 1963-'74 ILGWU

Fiber/Care: no tags, navy fabric feels like a nylon blend, plaid feels like a slubbed cotton blend, probably with rayon / tag says hand wash, but will probably be fine in a net bag on the gentle cycle

Condition: very good, but not perfect. there's a small, invisible mend at the top back shoulder, and a few holes and discolored areas (see photos, may lift with careful laundering -- we'll leave that to you) on the cuffs. price adjusted accordingly.

*This dress is clean and ready to wear, but could benefit from an additional cleaning.*
