Versatile little black dress for the warmer months. Easy-fitting sheath with short sleeves, wide scoop neck, and self-fabric belt to tie where and how you please, or not at all (no loops, no waist seam). Very nicely constructed with snap bra stays, bust darts, princess seams, and tiny welt piping at the neck and sleeve edges. A classic from the late 50s or early 60s, and famous Los Angeles department store Bullock's Wilshire.

: John G. Bullock went into business in 1907. In 1929, he and partner P.G. Winnett opened a luxury department store in what was then an upscale residential neighborhood, on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. The building itself was one of the first built in the new art deco style, and was considered a masterpiece of design. The store catered to a movie star clientele, selling only the finest items. The flagship store closed in 1993, and today houses part of Southwestern Law School (read about the restoration here
). The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. Photo courtesy Big Orange Landmarks
