Nipped-waist dress and matching bolero jacket. Dress has high jewel neck with a little slit for the removable self-fabric tie. Short kimono sleeves with underarm gussets, bust darts, and wide black cummerbund waistband. Super-full skirt with side-seam pockets. Metal Talon back zip with two hooks&eyes at the neck and three more at the waist. Double-breasted jacket has rounded collar and reinforced shoulders for shape. Three sets of large black buttons and bound buttonholes, plus three snaps along the front neckline. Fully lined.
We show it with a crinoline (not included), but the skirt is quite full even without one, due to the stiff buckram lining. Color is true red, not orange.
From the 1950s and the Charlotte M. estate.
