Fabric is a stretchy cotton blend velour that feels like velvet on the outside and like a sweatshirt on the inside.

The waist has minimal stretch due to the attached lining, but it fits my nearly 27" waist only a bit snugly, not super tightly. If you prefer a loose waistband, you'll need to be a bit smaller. Also, all the buttons could be moved 1/2" to gain some room where needed. **
