Ultra-fine, light-as-air blouse from the the early 1900s.

  • Creamy lawn so fine it feels like silk

  • Commercially hand made and finely finished with French seams
  • This type of blouse was a wardrobe staple from the 1910s through the 1930s.

Labels: "Hand Made"

Fiber/Care: mostly likely cotton as fine as silk. the insertion and edging lace is cotton. the buttons are shell and/or glass.

Condition: there are some tiny repairs to seams (no tears), a few teensy spots of weakness/wear, and a couple minuscule spots -- none of this shows or detracts. the buttons are all antique and there's one in each spot that should have one, but some are clearly replacements as they don't perfectly match the others. see photos.

*This antique blouse is freshly laundered and ready to wear, with care.*

Garment Measurements:
(note that although I can get this blouse on and even close the front, it's too snug on my 35.5" bust to fit as it should and the sleeves are too narrow at the cuffs for me to button them. it is meant to fit loosely, and will work best on a very slender and petite person. that said, if you don't mind leaving the cuffs unbuttoned, it will work for a person who normally wears a small size but is of average stature)

 shoulders: 14"/35.5cm
 sleeve total length: 25"/63.5cm
sleeve length to first seam: 19"/48.25cm
sleeve circumference at that first seam: just over 6"/15.25cm
bust (circumference at fullest point, not bra band): best for up to
32"/81.25cm, but will fit up to 34"/86.25cm
length: 19"/48.25cm at short point, as shown in photo collage
