From the 1980s, a high-quality, genuine-leather belt with what looks and feels like a brass buckle.
Bought by me in late summer 1987, at a little boutique on Long Island. It was part of my new, grown-up wardrobe for my first "real" job in Manhattan. It was not cheap, and I took good care of it.
Since you're wondering, yes, many of my fellow commuters looked just like extras from "Working Girl."
