60s Neon Floral Nylon Shift Dress by L'Aiglon - sm

SKU: 00431-022

Nearly neon, slightly psychedelic flowers in pink, yellow, blue and green rest on a background of printed purple ruffly ribbons. Shirtwaist shift with five-button half placket, hook&eye under pointed collar, short sleeves. Fabric is cool and comfortable. Unlined. From the 1960s and the McGee trust.

background, with thanks to the Vintage Fashion Guild: Founded 1919 in Philadelphia, L'Aiglon was known for washable ("tubable") dresses. The cast of the soap opera "Edge of Night" wore L'Aiglon frocks throughout the 50s. The company produced dresses until about 1968.
