50s/60s Vest & Shorts Set Majorette Costume - sm

From the late 1950s or early 60s, a vest and high-waist shorts set in softest velvet with glittering red sequin peaked collar. Four-button vest ends in points. High-waisted shorts close at back with a metal zipper. Unlined and very comfortable. 

Versatile pieces can easily mix and match to work well beyond Halloween or costume parties. As a set it calls to mind Little Nell as Columbia in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, or a tap dancing number from 42nd Street (just add some ruffles at the armscyes). From the Martha B. estate.
