SKU: 00732-010
Sorry, this item has sold.

From the late 1950s or early 60s, a black velvet beret style hat worn by stewardesses of the Eastern Air Lines Golden Falcon jet airplane. Black grosgrain ribbon trim and embellishment. Comes with a well traveled vintage hat pin.

*My metal Junior Stewardess wings, acquired on a trip to Florida from New York in the mid-1970s, are not included.*

Labels: Golden Falcon Eastern Air Lines Original by Play Toppers
(the jonquil Original vintage label appears looks to have been applied along the way --  certainly not by BDV! -- and not be original to the hat)

Materials: velvet feels like a rayon blend, rayon grosgrain ribbon, lining appears to be a soft, cotton-like Pellon or similar stabilizing fabric

Condition: No flaws to note beyond the faded interior label. Clean and ready to wear.

Dimensions: About 9"x8" (22.5cmx20cm) across the top, 21.5" (54.5cm) around the inner circumference at the band. One size fits all, as shown on our models Cracked Jane (brunette, larger head) and Cracked Betty (blonde, smaller head).

Our items are not newly manufactured "vintage style" pieces. They are true vintage, at least 30 years old. Please read condition report provided above.

Notes: International customers are responsible for any taxes or import fees.
