New Look cocktail dress in mocha with venise lace at the ballet neckline. Bodice has a baker's dozen covered buttons and loops, and gusseted three-quarter sleeves. Straight, wrap-style skirt with tulip hem snaps at the side beneath the metal Conmar zip, forming an alluring hip swag. Darts at front and back bodice, back hips, and elbows shape that mid-century fit. Matching belt. Unlined. From the late 1940s or early 1950s, and the Sherman estate.

Condition: the belt's leather backing is very "crunchy" and the fabric has come away from the back of the buckle. there are no loops, so you can opt to go without a belt (or substitute your own), although the original belt is still wearable as is.
