Sorry, this item has sold.

Incredibly well-made mid-century formal handbag for all your evening events. Purse features wonderfully textured lace-like brocade fabric. Black satin-covered frame, gold-tone clasp. Interior holds the matching solid black satin coin purse with kiss-lock, and the original mirror still in its original paper wrapper. One side has two slip pockets, the other has a larger, gold-edged slip pocket and a metal-zippered pocket. Sturdy, solid and very well-constructed. In its original box (which we somehow neglected to photograph!). From the 1950s and the Lisa C. living estate.

Labels: none

Fiber/Care: fabric, metal (vegan-friendly)

Condition: we've cleaned the edges of the satin and it looks great, but there were spots (no odor) and they may return over time. we opted to leave the long replacement chain strap in place, but if you prefer the original, shorter brass chain (see photos to see its superior quality), it is easily put back by anyone handy with pliers. were it not for these minor flaws, this bag would be well over $100.

Dimensions: maximum 9" (22.5cm) wide x 5" (12.5cm) high x 2" (5cm) deep; long chain has 24.5" (62cm) drop, original chain has 4.5" (11.5cm) drop
