50s Black Beaded Collar Wool Blouse

This cute little 1950s blouse has an intricately beaded, scalloped collar. Short sleeves. Four covered-button placket with bottom snap, plus an additional button-and-loop under the collar. Darting at front and back nip the waist. High hip length. Lola shows it casual with jeans, but it could also be dressed up easily -- in place of or under a jacket, with trousers or a pencil skirt.

Label/Care: Baroness, 1955-'63 Union label

Fiber/Care: unknown, appears to be a wool blend, hand wash or dry-clean

Condition: a short row of bugle beads is missing from the back of the collar. there are miniscule moth bites at the lower back that have been darned. these are so tiny we could not get them to show in photographs, and only discovered them when we held the shirt up to a strong light. we replaced the loop for the under-collar button. Price reflects these minor imperfections.
