50s Abercrombie & Fitch Brown Fur Felt Hat
Well things have certainly changed at Abercrombie & Fitch, haven't they? Back in the mid 1950s, they sold stylish items like this fur felt hat. Rich, medium brown. Unlined, with interior grosgrain band. Quarter-inch self-fabric band around crown with bow at back. Interior elastic band can be placed beneath hair to secure hat to head.

Condition: overall, very good - there are a few moth nibbles (surface only, no holes)
Dimensions: 21" circumference at inner grosgrain band, 3.75" high crown, brim is 1.25" at back and 2.25" at front
Note: Fur felt is used in higher-end millinery. It differs from cheaper wool felt, and is usually made from rabbit, beaver, or nutria undercoat hairs.
