50s Dress & Bolero Set

A 1950s cotton sundress and bolero jacket set in deep pink (nearly red) and green floral on off-white. The dress has a nipped waist, strategically seamed bodice with back boning, and a nearly-a-full-circle skirt. Self-lined at the bodice and closes with a metal zipper at back. The unlined bolero jacket has gusseted kimono-cut short sleeves, dramatic collar, and a single hook&eye closure at the waist. Feels cool and comfortable. From the remarkable (and seemingly bottomless) Jamieson estate.

Dress is shown over a large crinoline, not included.

Fiber/Care: no tags, all cotton, washable

Condition: gorgeous and sturdy, with some minor glitches to mention
- jacket right underarm nicely darned by former owner, right underarm repaired by me (as shown) resulting in 0.25" smaller cuff-edge opening (6" across)
- straps fraying (as shown) and previously shortened (originally had a button)
- two stains -- one at waist (completely hidden by any belt) and one lost in skirt folds (both shown)
- original belt is missing and our ribbon is not included

note that straps can be lengthened up to 6.5"/16.5cm)

note that jacket fit could be easily adjusted up or down by moving the hook&eye
