50s Lady Head Vase - Napco C5047

Originally used by florists to hold floral bouquets, these charming mid-century head vases have become collectibles.

  • Gold detail at her platter hat's brim, gloved hand, and floral "brooch."
  • Her "pearl" necklace is separate and movable (see video, below).
  • Bright red lips, black lashes, blonde hair.
  • Pink dress with turned-up collar.

I'm partial to feathers , but what (if anything) you stick in her hat is entirely up to you! I've seen these nicely converted to pin cushions.

Labels: C5047 stamped at bottom, with residue of original "Napco Cleveland Made in Japan" sticker. The company's full name is National Potteries Corporation.

Materials: painted porcelain pottery with faux pearl necklace 

Condition: really good, with minor chips to her lipstick, a smudge on her chin, teeny rough spot along her hat's brim, and a spot at the top of her middle finger. you can see the residue of florist's green foam inside.

Dimensions: approx. 6.5" high
