Bright blue, mod shift dress and matching coat suit from the 1960s. Fully lined sleeveless dress has banded neckline, squared armscyes, and hidden pockets in the princess seams. Closes with back zip and two hooks&eyes. Fully lined, double-breasted look coat has three-quarter-length sleeves, eight covered buttons with bound holes, flap pockets. Both pieces have an easy, slightly A-line silhouette. A substantial, beautifully made, high-quality set that's perfectly "Jackie O." Made in British Hong Kong. From the Janet S. estate.
Please note that the color, while as vibrant and rich as the photos, is slightly more turquoise in person. It's not cobalt blue, it's more a brilliant peacock.
Fiber/Care: unmarked, probably rayon, possibly blended with silk, in a shantung weave with satin lining, dry-clean
Condition: the dress underarms have some minor staining, the coat underarms have been oddly repaired (this is entirely inconspicuous unless you plan to raise your arms straight up in the air while wearing the coat). these flaws in an otherwise gorgeous suit have been factored into the price.
*We've had this shift dress and coat set professionally dry-cleaned and it's ready to wear.*
(please ignore the vintage size 10 tag and go by the following)
shoulders (to edges): 17"/43cm
For reference, model is 5'5.75", measures b: 35.5 (32D), w: 26.5, h: 35.5, and usually wears a U.S. modern size 2/4. Dress and coat are not clipped, and are somewhat too big everywhere but the bust. We recommend you be smaller than 35" around the bust, but perhaps a bit larger than she is at the waist and hips to best fill out this set.
