Sorry, this item has sold.
Super mod, rounded cap-style hat in orange velvet from the 1960s. Matching grosgrain ribbon criss-crosses and circles the crown and forms double bows at front. Small, visor-type front brim. Hand-stitched peach faille lining with interior grosgrain band. Soft, comfy fit, like an oversized baseball cap. You could stuff all your hair up into this fabulous topper for a very stylish bad hair day. From the Martha A. estate (she had at least 100 hats, and even more handbags, but we only bought the really fun ones!).

Labels: Wesco

Fiber: cotton velvet and grosgrain ribbon, faille lining feels like thick acetate

Condition: there's residue from a sticker of some sort (possibly a union label) next to the tag on the interior grosgrain band. the hat is hand finished, and not every stitch is perfect and some of the raw edges are simply covered over by the grosgrain bands. it looks perfect, and there are no flaws, per se, but it wasn't the world's most detail-oriented finishing job.

Dimensions: top is 7"x7" (17.5cmx17.5cm), brim/visor is 1"/2.5cm deep, measures 21.5"/54.5cm around interior grosgrain band
