Bright and cheerful late 60s or early 70s maxi dress bursting with color. Watermelon pink sleeveless bodice with bust and vertical darts and a fabulous blue-enamel daisy brooch at center (removable to use elsewhere!). Barkcloth-textured "flower power" skirt of blue and fuchsia daisies on white. Attached black velvet tubular belt ties at slightly elevated front waist. Unlined except at upper bodice. Closes in back with metal CC zip. From the Mary Ann S. Collection.
Fiber/Care: no tags, cotton velvet bodice, rayon velvet waist tie, cotton or cotton-rich blend skirt, enameled metal brooch, metal zipper, dry-clean only (remove the brooch first)
Condition: the brooch has left some marks underneath it where it rubs the velvet, as well as on the interior lining (none of this shows), there's color shift at the interior shoulders and underarms (again, does not show)
*This dress is clean and ready to wear.*
slightly raised waist: 27"/68.5cm
length: 52"/132cm + 2"/5cm hem
Cecelia, despite being armless, has somewhat broad "shoulders" which make the dress more snug on her than it otherwise would be. We also tried the dress on Lola, who measures bust: 32, ribs: 27.5, waist 24.75, and it fits her nicely, although the darts are a bit high for her more mature figure. If you have similar or smaller measurements, and a high bust or "juniors" figure, this dress should work for you.
