Maxi dress in a bold poppy floral from the 1970s with fold-over turtleneck, sexy cut-in shoulders, and a keyhole back. Bust darts for shape and slimming center seam front and back. Flowing, A-line. (The Chattery was the hip teens' department at upscale Sakowitz department store in Houston, Texas. It opened in 1968. The company disbanded in 1990).
Fiber/Care: smooth, light- to mid-weight polyester doubleknit jersey, machine wash and dry
Condition: no flaws to note. the hem was folded up and hand-stitched at some point (see photo). we're leaving it as is, since it's a lot less work for you to snip a few stitches and let it down to its original length than to have to take it back up!
