70s Purple Secretary Dress
Crepe georgette flutter-sleeve dress with crossover (surplice) bodice, shoulder saddle and tucks, and elasticized waist. The lovely, slightly reddish, purple hue is closest to Pantone's PMS 252, and Wikipedia tells me its proper name is "purple magenta." Thread belt loops. Unlined. Slips on with no closure. Easy care. From the 1970s or possibly the very early 80s (no shoulder pads).
Labels: Mary Martin for Rainbow of California
Fiber/Care: unmarked, synthetic (feels like nylon, could be poly blend) georgette, washable
Condition: no flaws to note, but the original belt is missing (if you like either of ours, let us know) and the hem may have been taken up (see 4th photo)
*This dress is freshly laundered and ready to wear.*
