80s Does 50s Gray New Look Style Skirt Suit
From the 1980s, a ladylike gray suit that mimics the New Look silhouette of the late 1940s and early 1950s. Fully lined, double-breasted jacket has curvy seaming, shawl collar, and long sleeves with slightly puffed shoulder. Unlined, full A-line skirt with side seam pockets can be worn with or without a crinoline (not included). Closes with a hook& eye. Unworn (we know because it was unfinished).
Labels: home sewn (by a seamstress named Veronica)
Fiber/Care: looks like wool but feels softer, burn test says synthetic, probably acrylic, dry-cleaning recommended
Condition: no flaws to note. this suit was unfinished -- there was no closure yet at the waist. we added a flat hook&eye.
*We've had this skirt suit professionally dry-cleaned and it's ready to wear.*
