From the late Victorian or Edwardian era, a pair of women's closed-bottom drawers or pantaloons.
- tucks and broderie anglaise at cuffs
- glass button closure at hand-sewn buttonhole on waistband at side
- crisp, substantial cotton to wear for lounging, sleep, or reenactment
- original owner's name in side seam (blurred for privacy in photos)
From my personal collection.
Labels: none
Fiber/Care: no tags, cotton / washable (to extend their already long life, we recommend washing antique clothing in a net bag with gentle, unscented, dye-free detergent and hanging to dry)
Condition: someone must have used a "blueing" or other detergent which left a greenish-blue tint (especially at the waist area). we suspect this will come out with a good soak in oxyclean or similar.
*These antique drawers are freshly laundered and ready to wear.*
