Antique Miser's Purse With Silver Cut-Steel Beads

From the Victorian or Edwardian era, a silky, knitted, cut-steel beaded taupe purse to hold your coins and small treasures. 

If you're unfamiliar, you slide a ring toward the center to access the central slit from either side, then "lock" the purse closed by sliding the ring toward the end. Note how the two ends are different? One is flat and wide, with 9 little decorative balls. The other comes to a point, with a single cluster of decorative balls. That's intentional, so you can remember which side you put what in.

Feels really nice. Just the loveliest little antique accessory to use carefully with your historic impressions, or simply admire.

Fiber/Care: the yarn is very soft and smooth. it is probably silk thread, possibly a blend with fine mercerized cotton; beads are faceted cut steel

Condition: This is very old indeed, but it's in pretty great shape and is definitely usable with care. Note that the color is slightly lighter in person. There's a small repaired area, as shown in the photos. definitely not noticeable. I see nothing obviously wrong or missing. Did I mention how good this thing feels to hold?

(it's quite flexible, so the measurements below are just an idea of the overall, general size. It changes shape when there's stuff in it, of course, and it will hold more than you'd imagine, but go easy on it, it's quite old)
