Cotton day or house dress from the 1940s (or late 30s) in a white ditzy floral on deep periwinkle blue. Short sleeve bodice with interesting shirtwaist placket and single chest pocket. Gold on white glass buttons slip through hand-sewn buttonholes. Pleats at sleeve edge, tucks at shoulders, and a self-fabric belt attached at one end. Skirt has slight A-line shape. Unlined.

Condition: stain at left chest, small hole just above hem, gold detail has worn off a bit on some of the buttons
