Butterick Starred Pattern - A Helen Twelvetress Gown - for women and misses. Size 14 for 32 Bust.

This original, early 1930s sewing pattern was created by renowned Hollywood designer Travis Banton for actress Helen Twelvetrees to wear in a movie. The pattern includes several variations and can be made into an evening or formal dress as well as a trained wedding gown.

Wildly popular, the pattern was advertised in a "Church Wedding" feature in the September 1933 issue of The Delineator -- which someone tore from the magazine and enclosed in the pattern envelope! So neat!

Skirt with Bias Front and Sides and in Ankle or Shorter Length; or Floor Length with 90 Inch train. One-Piece Back; and Veil. Purchased flower.

We also have Dot's finished dress available. If you want a custom fit or style, however, this pattern is complete and in excellent condition.

While it's certainly up to you, we recommend tracing the pieces you plan to use onto sturdier paper, rather than using the originals for sewing.
